Saturdays are for chores and quilting

(I love Pearls Before Swine! http://news.yahoo.com/comics/060915/cx_pearls_umedia/20061509 )

Not often, but sometimes I become so overwhelmed I have to make a to do list.  Today is one of those days.  Usually it is when I am shopping and I have a lot of places to go.  I have to write them down and then do them in order or at the end I won't do it.  I hate shopping.  I hate getting in and out of the car.  So when it is the end of the trip and I am heading home if I have one or two more stops I won't do them.  It is then that my list reminds me -  you must do it!

Same here at home.  When I have the entire day to myself, no one needs me, not even the dogs, then I become overwhelmed with all I want to do and so I end up doing very little.  So today - I will make a PUBLIC To Do List and therefore, be somewhat accountable.

  • ü      Clean Kitchen, wash dishes, soak mop in bleach

  • ü      Make bed

  •        Finish Gareth's quilt

  •        Finish Pam's quilt top

  •        Check out big camera, see what is wrong with it

  •       Work in Photoshop, learn new technique

  •       Add pictures to Dog scrapbook

  •       Take nap (I got up at 4:30am, already tired and it is 7:06)

  •       Make plans with girls to go toy shopping for Children's hospital

  •       Write memorium for Rae to put in paper next Thursday

  •       Back up PC

OK, now I have my Christmas/Birthday list

  • Finish Elke's placemats & coasters

  • Finish Sabine's wall hanging

  • Finish Pam's quilt

  • Start on Bradley's quilt

  • Finish choosing pictures & start on Oma & Opa's tablerunner

  • Decide what to make for Beatte & Marita & Toni

See it all doesn't look so bad when you write it down.  Here are some pictures of my progress on Pamela's quilt:
